Randy survives several life-threatening incidents as a child; then his father leaves the family of eight children. He works to help from the age of seven, but slips into drinking and drugs. Mostly illiterate, he works hard but spends everything on cocaine. Becoming homeless, he and a friend turn to robbery. Randy is caught and goes to jail where he learns to read the Bible and meets Christ. Released, he graduates from seminary, marries and then slips back into drug use. He’s arrested but God restores him in prison. He is a chaplain and counselor to addicts before he dies of cancer.
