The oldest of nine children, Clint and his family move from Arizona to Chicago when he’s twelve. There he’s invited to Sunday school and professes faith in Christ at fourteen. He goes to Bible classes and gives his testimony on street corners. At 17 he goes to Albuquerque to work for the railroad, working Sundays. He backslides, rides the rails, then falls in with a robber. They buy guns and commit highway robbery for 18 months. They’re caught, and in jail churches minister, but he resists. He’s sentenced to San Quentin where he finally surrenders to Christ. He serves God in jails and rescue missions.
