Spinal Meningitis as a toddler leaves David with A.D.D. and he is given Ritalin, a drug that leaves him by turns disruptive or zombie-like. He is eleven when his dad dies, and at 13 he’s put in a home for disturbed youth. He feels rejected, runs away, addicted to drugs. He commits burglary, goes to prison and when he’s released he goes to California. For 13 years his is a life of crime, drugs and prison. He returns to Ohio and another four years of drugs. After he steals a computer from a job, he’s arrested. Alone in a cell, God speaks to his heart and he discovers that his purpose in life is to know and serve God. He gets a degree in counseling and now helps troubled youth at a Christian home for youth.
