Growing up, Kevin fights to protect a brother with cerebral palsy. He starts drinking and using drugs at fifteen, is arrested at 16 & again at 17 so he joins the Navy & serves in Vietnam. Then he orchestrates his discharge by going AWOL. Back home he gets in trouble with drug dealers, flees to Oregon where a drug buddy kills a man with a gun Kevin has stolen. He’s sentenced to life in prison but paroled after five years. He’s in and out of marriage and many prisons because of heroin until he faces another life sentence. He prays, asking God to save him. A cold-hearted parole board member miraculously gives him a break, but he continues to struggle until he commits his life completely to Christ. Now in prison ministry.
