Angie’s parents divorce when she is ten, and she grows up without her Italian father. Her mother works, so they go to church only on Christmas Eve. At an advanced academic school she learns English and then goes to England when she’s 17 as an exchange student, where she falls in love with philosophy and becomes an atheist. Back home, a Christian challenges a teacher about disrespecting Jesus, and Angie goes to church with a friend where an evangelist shares the gospel, which Angie fails to accept. At the university she plans to be a journalist and change the world, but her old friend gets saved and helps Angie understand God’s love. She opens her heart to Christ. A Scottish exchange students disciples her. She witnesses to her former teacher and leads her mother to Christ.
