After his parents divorce, Chad drifts into trouble, shoplifting. A buddy tells him about hell. But he quits going to church at fifteen and starts using drugs and alcohol. He denies God’s existence even when he has a near-fatal accident on a four-wheeler. He’s arrested several times for underage drinking. Then he and his friends steal things and are turned in to the police. They flee to Ohio where Chad has a surreal drug experience and believes he has sold his soul to the devil. They go to Phoenix where he listens to radio preachers and decides to turn himself in by going home. He’s sentenced to jail and drug treatment where he meets a Christian but still feels in bondage. Another believer hands him a tract and then comes to disciple Chad who finally prays for God’s forgiveness. Married with three sons.
