Ron and his brother, Billy, spend the summer street preaching together. After three weeks of preaching in the town rescue mission, Ron receives enough money from donations to go to the Christian academy his brother attends – over his dad’s objections. He completes college and becomes a full-time evangelist, working with friend, Larry. He meets and marries a young woman who is saved at one of his revivals. Then his eyesight deteriorates and he is diagnosed with Keratoconus. He eventually has a corneal transplant, teams up with Larry and they travel the world as evangelists. His dad is saved. In 1989 he starts a college for preachers.
