Harvey’s dad is an abusive drunk who drives away Harvey’s mother. He grows up a witness to violence, lying and stealing and joins the ranks, getting expelled from school for violence. He has some exposure to Christian love and goes to church with sister; but he is drawn into alcohol and drugs and fighting pit bull dogs. After he nearly overdoses on crack cocaine, he cries out to God, reads the Bible and quits drugs. He is born again in church several years later. Now in music ministry at church.
