Kathy’s bitterness toward her busy father causes many problems: bulimia, rebellion, drinking and a bad attitude. She meets Kip in high school and they go off to college together, but she cannot be faithful. Her sin leads to depression and she has several accidents, but she finishes nursing school. She and Kip marry but her bulimia returns after her first baby is born. She goes to a clinic, overcomes bulimia and meets Christians in exercise class. She learns about Jesus, goes to Bible study and receives Christ. But she still takes anti-depressants for 14 years. After a crisis when she’s diagnoses with psychosis, she and Kip go to a seminar where she learns to trust in the Lord and she throws away her meds.
